Off-site attractions: The party continues after dark
While the festival mainly takes place at Cooper’s Lake Campground, Jeeps can be found throughout Butler County all weekend long.
On Friday, Recon Brewing Co. hosts the Jeep Invasion After Party from 9 to 11 p.m. The brewery is located three miles north of downtown Butler on Route 8.
The original Jeep was built by the American Bantam Car Co. and called the Bantam Reconnaissance Car or “BRC.”
Recon Brewing Company will feature its flagship brew — known as the “BRC” — to honor the Jeep’s iconic discovery. A light bar will be raffled off to those with festival wristbands who purchase the brew.
On Saturday, the Starlight Drive-in will host Jeep Night.
The drive-in will screen three movies starting at 9:20 p.m. Before the movie, a pig roast, food specials, beer from Recon Brewing and a DJ are planned. The gates open at 6 p.m. The featured films include:
Screen 1: “Secret Life of Pets 2”
Screen 2: “X-Men: Dark Phoenix”
Screen 3: “Godzilla: King of the Monsters”
The drive-in will be open to everyone Saturday, but occupants in Jeeps will receive a discount.
