Flooding has Zelie in state of emergency
Zelienople Mayor Thomas Oliverio declared today that the borough to be in a state of emergency due to severe flooding.
The statement of emergency allows the borough to make emergency purchases, if necessary, without taking bids.
Don Pepe, borough manager, said the declaration was recommended by Butler County 911.
Pepe said there is “no danger of life and limb” in the borough and the declaration is mostly precautionary.
