John “Jack” W. Koethe
John “Jack” W. Koethe, 88, of Forward Township passed away Monday at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System.
Born Aug. 8, 1928, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Clifford Koethe and Marie Clouse Koethe.
Jack was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a licensed pilot and treasured being able to fly. He enjoyed motorcycles and the outdoors. He also loved dancing, listening to music, yodeling and singing. Jack enjoyed spending time with his friends at the VFW, but above all, cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his three daughters, Christine (Gary) Lamperski of Evans City, Sue Ann Norris of Mars and Diane (Kevin) Jamison of Brighton, Colo.; his sons, Robert (Devon) Hauserman of Forward Township and James Hauserman of Fort Collins, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by two daughters, Wendy Brady and Kit Gardner; and one brother, Clifford Koethe.
KOETHE — The family of John “Jack” W. Koethe, who died Monday, April 24, 2017, will welcome friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W.
