Trudy Vandiver
Trudy C. Vandiver, 78, of Zelienople, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022, while under the care of UPMC Mercy Hospital.
Born Oct. 3, 1943, in Jerseytown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Rev. Harrison Diehl and Lois Rhone Diehl.
In the late 1970s to early 1980s, Trudy worked as a waitress at the Kaufman House in Zelienople. In later years, Trudy and her husband, Gary, owned and operated Vandiver Enterprises, a plastic fabricating company.
She enjoyed hosting holiday get-togethers and loved to travel. She also enjoyed going out to dinner with friends and family. Trudy also loved animals, especially dogs. Above all, she was a loving mother and the best wife and friend a husband could ask for. She was loved and will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 61 years, Gary Vandiver, whom she married on Aug. 6, 1960; her children, Terri Mulroney and her husband, Tony, of Cranberry Township, Jeffrey W. Vandiver and his wife, Lori, of Cranberry Township, and Steve Vandiver and his fiancée, Kim Swendsen, of Zelienople; her grandchildren, Jason Hoffman and his wife, Lisa, Kyle Hoffman and his wife, Janine, and Stephanie Vandiver; her great-grandchildren, Drake, Chase, Haley, Conor, Amaya, Declan and Tessa; her brother, the Rev. David Diehl and his wife, Carolyn, of Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Abby.
VANDIVER — Friends of Trudy C. Vandiver, who died Sunday, June 12, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Scott McMahon officiating.
Trudy will be laid to rest at English Lutheran Church Cemetery in Zelienople.
