BlueSox see streak snapped
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Errors led to four unearned runs in the second inning Wednesday night as the Butler BlueSox saw their six-game winning streak snapped by a 9-4 loss at Chillicothe.
The Paints (28-29) took a 5-0 lead in that second frame.
Nick Bucci took the loss for the BlueSox (35-22), pitching the first five innings. He allowed only one earned run and struck out four.
Justin Meeker had two doubles and a single for Butler while Tanner Murphy contributed three singles. Ben Carew had a pair of singles.
Butler concludes its three-game series at Chillicothe Thursday night before returning home to face Lafayette on Friday night.
