Visitor guides ready to lure tourists to county

ZELIENOPLE — The Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau has copies available of its 2015 visitor’s guide, a publication that will reach thousands of people across the region.

Jack Cohen, president of the bureau, said Monday that the visitor’s guide is distributed throughout the year to places like Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Buffalo, N.Y., and Erie, to attract tourists to the county.

It has 150,000 copies.

The guide, which highlights 350 member businesses and organizations in the county, is 58 pages and contains stories, maps, charts and information about the county and photographs.

“We have distribution points all over the place,” Cohen said about the guide. “They’re everywhere.”

Most of the guides will be shipped to visitor’s centers in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Those centers are usually along major highways and interstates, places that are likely to be visited by tourists passing through.

Anyone can get a free copy of the guide at the tourism bureau’s website at www.visitbutlercounty.com.
