Edward Joseph “Ed” “Chief” Price

Edward Joseph “Ed” “Chief” Price, 61, of Chicora passed away Tuesday morning at his home while surrounded by his family.

Edward was born on Aug. 10, 1956, in Butler. He was the son of the late Paul Glenn and Margaret A. “Maggie” Hackett Price.

Ed was a long-time member of Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora.

He was a 1974 graduate of Karns City Area High School.

He enjoyed hunting, especially at his camp in Fisher, Clarion County.

Ed had most recently been employed in the maintenance department at Chicora Borough.

Surviving are eight siblings, Carol Scott and her husband, Ron, of Butler, Sandy Thibedeau of Enfield, Conn., Pauline Kelly and her husband, Lou, of Butler, Patty Huff and her husband, Ron, Barb Hile and her husband, Barry, Mary Harnish and her husband, Ron, Colleen Shearer and Chris Price and his wife, Mary, all of Chicora; a sister-in-law, Denise Price of Petrolia; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Justin; and a brother, Michael Price.

PRICE — A funeral Mass for Edward Joseph “Ed” “Chief” Price, who died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora with the Rev.
