Butler police chief named
Butler’s new chief of police is Ronald Fierst.
Mayor Maggie Stock announced Fierst as her pick for chief Monday afternoon.
The police chief position is one that is appointed by the mayor.
Fierst has been with the police force since April 1979, and has held the rank of captain since 2007.
