Extension offers pesticide classes, test
Penn State Extension is offering several education meetings to help private, public and commercial applicators fulfill their recertification credit requirements for their pesticide applicator certification.
The meetings provide two core credits and two category credits. Category credits are offered in the private applicator category, agronomic crops and demonstration and research.
The meetings will be held on Jan. 23 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Butler County Extension Office on Motor Pool Way and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Butler County Communications Building on McCune Road; Feb. 7 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. at the extension office; Feb. 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the communications building; March 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the extension office. The extension is also offering a two-day class to prepare people who want to become private applicators take the required exam on Feb. 25 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mercer County Extension office, where the exam has been scheduled for Feb. 28.
