Enthusiasts can buy chance on Jeep desk
Anyone who owns a Jeep knows the experience is one-of-a-kind.
Now a unique item connected to the Jeep will be raffled off at this year’s Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival. It is a World War II Jeep desk.
The Jeep desk was made by Russ Boisvert of Methuen, Mass., using original parts from military Jeeps. The desk features a military star logo on the hood as was used during World War II.
Festival committee member Jim Donze, who was instrumental in getting the desk, said, “When I first saw a picture of the desk, I knew we needed to have it for the festival.
“Luckily, the committee was just as excited. I think it will be a quite popular raffle item. Definitely a conversation piece for a home office.”
Tickets are $5 each and can be bought at the festival at Cooper’s Lake Campground and the Jeep Invasion on Friday night in Butler beside the merchandise tent.
The drawing will be at Cooper’s Lake at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Entrants need not be present to win, but the winner is responsible for picking up the desk in the Slippery Rock area or for the cost of shipping. That must occur by June 30.
