Festival offers lots of fun activities for Little Jeepers

Ariannah Smith, 5, and her brother Owen, 2, get a picture in the Little Jeepers Playground at last year's Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival at Cooper's Lake Campground.

The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival offers fun for the whole family, even the littlest Jeep lovers who can enjoy a playground that’s just their size.

The Little Jeepers Playground, sponsored by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware, is free with admission and will keep children entertained with a show ’n shine competition, crafts and games.

The Little Jeepers Show ‘n Shine features opportunities for children and their families to paint, decorate and modify a wooden toy Jeep. Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded in each age category and class as well as special awards for best of show of the day and best realistic Jeep of the day.

The assembled toy is available to buy at the merchandise store.

Age categories are 3 to 5 years old, 6 to 9, and 10 to 12.

Classes include Realistic Jeep/Best Modified, Movies/Super Heroes/Cartoons, Prettiest Jeep, Animal, and Ugliest Jeep. Judging will take place two hours before the show closes each day.

Other games and activities will be offered. The Little Jeepers Playground is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday; from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
