David B. Sloan

David B. Sloan, 49, of Fenelton passed away peacefully Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Oct. 24, 1967, to the late Francis and Evelyn Sarver Sloan.

He was a 1986 graduate of Butler High School. He was a truck driver for several companies. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He loved his dogs, Chico and Bear, and mostly he loved to spend time with his wife, daughters and family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Dottie, who he married Aug. 11, 1997; two beautiful daughters, Sammie and Anna; three brothers, Butch Sloan of West Sunbury, Carl Sloan of Nevada and Scott Sloan of Butler; three sisters, Susie Bottenus of Maryland, Cindy Herrick of Florida and DeDe Kuriger of Butler; two aunts, Nancy Sarver of Butler and Janice Vinroe of Hermitage; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the VNA Inpatient Hospice for their kind, loving care.

SLOAN — Friends of David B. Sloan, who died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will immediately follow at 8 p.m. Friday with the Rev. William H. Glassman officiating.In lieu of flowers, please send monetary donations to the Thompson- Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
