I-79 reopens after tractor-trailers crash near Meadville
MEADVILLE — Traffic is flowing again in both directions of Interstate 79 in northwestern Pennsylvania where state police had closed the southbound lanes because of a crash involving two tractor-trailers.
State police say the lanes reopened about 1:30 p.m. today. Police closed the southbound lanes near Meadville shortly after 10 a.m.
Traffic had been detoured onto Route 19.
Police say there were injuries in the crash, but they appeared to be minor. Police have yet to identify the drivers involved.
Meadville received about 8 inches of snow overnight and some tractor-trailers have apparently gotten stuck trying to exit the highway.
