Howard Zarnick Jr.
Howard “Paul” Zarnick Jr., 79, Butler, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 21, 2021, with his family by his side.
He was born on Oct. 14, 1941, in Butler, and was the son of the late Howard P. Zarnick Sr. and Alleene (Thomas) Zarnick.
Paul was raised Roman Catholic and attended Butler High School. Most of his career was with Pullman Standard where he worked for over 19 years.
Paul enjoyed music, playing softball, and following Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers. He was known to have a heart of gold, to be loved by everyone he met, and would light up a room with laughter. He was cherished by his family and friends and was probably best known for his unending love and connection with animals, especially his beloved dog, Zada.
Paul was the loving father of Scot (Heather) Zarnick, Sherry Zarnick, Angie (Mark) Edwards, Gloria (Jim) Winters, and Amber Zarnick; brother of Carolyn Honse, Larry Zarnick, Brenda (Wayne) Wilson, and Cynthia Zarnick Botsis. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Korey, Sammy, Willow Zarnick, and Damian Winters.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie P. Zarnick.
Zarnick Jr. — Friends of Howard “Paul” Zarnick Jr. who died Friday, May 21, 2021, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
A Catholic blessing service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
Burial will be held privately.
