Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will host Celebrate the Bloom! Summer Festival from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 29. Jennings is open regularly 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and on weekends as scheduled. The trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset.

Moraine State Park, Muddy Creek Township will host a “Salamander Safari” from 4 to 5:30 p.m. June 16 (meet outside the Davis Hollow Marina office on the North Shore); “Owl Prowl” from 8:30 to 10 p.m. June 16 (meet beside Bear Run Launch on the South Shore); “Deer Trail Cameras” from 1 to 3 p.m. June 17 (Moraine Outdoor Center); and “Family Fishing” from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. June 18 (Watt’s Bay, North Shore, call 724 368-8811 for reservations).

Spring star parties sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh are to begin, weather permitting, at 8:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Regional Park near Russellton. Call 724-224-2510.
