Kenneth Robert Rasp

Kenneth Robert Rasp, 78, of North Washington passed away unexpectedly at 8 p.m. Tuesday at his home.

Kenneth was born on Oct. 1, 1936, in Butler. He was the son of the late Edward Sichart Rasp and Hilda Magdalene Lutz Rasp.

He retired from Magnetics with 40 years and three months as a quality control inspector.

Kenneth was a member of the NRA and Alcoholics Anonymous. He was a former member of the North Washington Presbyterian Church, the East Butler Fireman's Association and the American Legion Post 243 in West Sunbury.

Kenneth was an avid bowler and hunter and enjoyed pitching horseshoes.

He is survived by his three daughters, Linda (Doekele “Duke” Terpstre) Carlson of Butler, Mrs. Tom (Peggy) Ruediger of Sarver and Mrs. Curtis (Elaine) Kelly of Slippery Rock; his son, Kenneth Rasp and his wife, Teresa, of North Washington; his 11 grandchildren, Shane McCabe, Angela Steinle, Brian and Courtney Kelly, Jennifer (Chris) Callahan, Melissa Balsiger, Ryan, Corey and Connor Rasp, and Brandi and Amanda Griffin, and his great-granddaughter, Charlie Denslow.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Lois; his brother, Edward, and his companion, Mary Bowser.

Rasp — The family of Kenneth Robert Rasp, who died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert V. Mathias, retired minister, officiating.
