Marilyn Graham

Marilyn L. Graham, 68, of Butler died early Wednesday morning at her home.

Born on June 29, 1945, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Mike Franko and Mary (Severino) Franko.

Marilyn was a French teacher at Butler Junior High and then was a homemaker. She also worked as a substitute teacher for various schools in the Butler area, and lastly worked as a sales clerk for the Wishing Well in Butler.

She was a lifelong member of the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora, where she taught religious education for several years and was devoted to her family, which was her most precious joy and accomplishment.

Surviving are her husband, Terry Graham, who she married on Aug. 12, 1967; her daughter, Teresa Shannon and her husband, Erik, of Pittsburgh; her son, David Graham of Butler; her grandson, Elijah Graham Shannon; and her brother, Michael Franko and his wife, Kathy, of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

GRAHAM — The friends of Marilyn L. Graham, who died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. The funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Leo Schlosser, Pastor, will officiate.
