Obama will visit Gulf Coast Sunday for oil spill update
DETROIT — President Barack Obama will visit the Gulf Coast on Sunday morning for a firsthand update on the massive spill from an offshore oil rig.
Obama will get a briefing on efforts to contain it.
The White House made the announcement as Obama landed in Detroit on his way to the University of Michigan, where he was giving the commencement speech today.
A schedule of the trip will be announced later.
