Linda Sue McCormick

Linda Sue McCormick, 68, of West Sunbury passed away at 10:40 a.m. Sunday at her home following a battle with Parkinson's disease.

Linda was born April 25, 1947, in Butler. She was the daughter of the late James Ernest Swartzlander and the late Gladys Agatha Flick Swartzlander.

Linda owned and operated the former Crossroads Pizza and Rumors Café.

She was a former member of the Moniteau School Board and a member for the American Legion Post 117. Linda enjoyed pitching horseshoes and dancing.

Linda is survived by her husband, Dennis John “Mac” McCormick, who she married Jan. 6, 1966; two sons, Robert Paul “Rob” McCormick and his wife, Christina (Lessner), and Dennis “DJ” McCormick and his wife, Karen (Newton), both of West Sunbury; and five grandchildren, Gretchen, Zachary, Benjamin, Josh and Desiree.

Also surviving are five sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Rittenhouse of Ohio, Esther Cole of Florida, Gladys (Richard) DeMatteis of Boyers, Wilda Kenny of Tarentum and Nora (Fred) Spohn of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

MCCORMICK — The burial of Linda Sue McCormick, who died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, was private. A celebration of life service will be conducted later.If desired, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Parkinson's PSP.Arrangements are under the direction of the William F.
