Andrew Chaff Jr.
Andrew “Andy” M. Chaff Jr., 81, of West Sunbury passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Andy was born on April 2, 1941, in West Virginia as the son of the late Andrew M. Chaff Sr. and late Elizabeth S. (Soffer) Chaff. Andy was affectionately known as “Sonny” by his family.
Andy was veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion Riders Post 778, the Parker Allegheny Canby Lodge 521, the Summit Township Sportsman Club and enjoyed Tuesday Morning Breakfast with the “Table of Knowledge.” Andy was a former member of Hill United Presbyterian Church and current member of Concord Presbyterian Church. He was employed by IBEW Locals 10 and 1914.
Andy is survived by one daughter, Melissa Jo Iser of Brookville, Ohio; two sons, Stephen Chaff of Brackenridge and Kevin (Mary) Chaff of West Sunbury; and three grandchildren, Quinn Woehl, Andrew Ross Chaff and Zaiden Robert Chaff. Sonny is also survived by one sister, Marlene (Ralph) West of Pittsburgh, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who became like family.
Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela J. (Kriner) Chaff, who passed away Feb. 6, 2018; and one sister, Linda Chaff-Wade.
CHAFF — Family and friends of Andrew “Andy” M. Chaff Jr., who died Saturday, June 4, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St. West Sunbury.
Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Thursday at the Concord Presbyterian Church, 625 Hooker Road, with the Rev. Bob Edmundson, officiating.
Burial will be private in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
