Robert Henricks
Robert Theodore (Bob) Henricks, 79, of Slippery Rock, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at his daughter Beckie's residence.
He was born April 6, 1943, in Butler, the son of the late Clarence T. Henricks and Dorothy (Thiele) Henricks.
Bob was a graduate of Butler High School. He received his associate degree in agriculture business from Penn State University. Bob worked in the shipping department at AK Steel and retired in May 2003. He also worked at Tractor Supply in Butler, but his real love was farming on his farm. He attended Community Alliance Church.
He is survived by his two daughters, Rebekah (Beckie) Duncan and her husband, Jason, of Slippery Rock, and Malynda Bortz and her companion, Andrew Elkins, of Prospect; four grandchildren, Robby Warren, Jaylynn Warren, Kyle Duncan and Tristen Bortz; one brother, Ronald Henricks, and his wife, Pat, of Butler; one sister, Mary Smith, and her husband, the Rev. Gary of Greensburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kay “Sandie” Henricks, whom he married on Sept. 21, 1974, and who passed away on Dec. 31, 2020; and also one son-in-law, Bill Bortz Jr.
HENRICKS — Friends of Robert Theodore (Bob) Henricks, who died Saturday, June 4, 2022, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 East North St., Butler.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with his nephew, Pastor David Smith, officiating.
Private burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Camp Lutherlyn, 510 Dick Road, Prospect, PA 16052.
