BRADYS BEND TWP, Armstrong County — An 18-month-old girl and her grandmother are in Pittsburgh hospitals this morning after the family's large dog bit them Wednesday morning.

Emma Anderson lost a portion of her jaw, while the girl's grandmother, Jen Baysinger, 48, was bitten on the arm, according to a family member.

"I work nearby, and my sister's boyfriend called me to help him jump a car," said Emma's uncle, who did not want his name used.

"While I was there, my sister came out the door screaming, and I already knew what had happened."

A yellow, 10-day pet quarantine form was still in the window of the mobile home at Bradys Bend Mobile Home Park on Iron Furnace Road, the result of an incident in which the dog bit the child's mother last week. She needed 15 stitches to close the wound caused by the dog, whose breed is reported as Perro de Pres a Canario.
