John L. Sodersten

John L. Sodersten, 61, of Butler, formerly of Dallas, Texas, passed away Oct. 5, 2021.

He was the beloved son of Mert and Geraldine Papinchak Sodersten Jr.; brother of Katherine (Michael) Saul, Cynthia Sodersten, and the late Michael Sodersten; former spouse of Cathy Martinson; and stepfather of Theresa (Goerl) Spencer and Michael Goerl.

He is survived by a niece; his nephews; his great-nieces; and a great-nephew.

John was an avid Steelers fan, who loved to watch the games with family.

He most recently worked as a customer service representative with Armstrong Cable Co., where he was well liked by his coworkers.

He was an affable, respectful gentleman, with an infectious, playful sense of humor, and loved to joke around.

He will be missed.

SODERSTEN — A celebration of life will be held at a later date for John L. Sodersten, who died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021.

Family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
