CLARION — East Brady native and Clarion University offensive coordinator Chris Weibel has been named interim head football coach for the Golden Eagles.

Weibel will hold that position until the university’s national search for a head coach is completed.

Weibel has been an assistant football coach at Clarion for 11 years. A 1998 Clarion graduate, he was quarterback of the 1996 Golden Eagle squad that reached the NCAA Division II semifinals.
