Virginia L. Repine-Davis

Virginia L. Repine-Davis, 89, of Pawleys Island, S.C., formerly of Butler passed away Sunday at the Lakes at Litchfield in Pawleys Island, S.C.

She was born April 22, 1928, in Euclid, and was the daughter of the late Josiah and Emma (Causer) Fleeger.

Virginia was a member of Oak Hills Christian Church and had been very active in her church for almost 50 years.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a nurse's aide at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She lived a life of service and giving to her family, her brothers and sisters and her friends and church.

She was very talented and creative and enjoyed making her home a special and welcoming place. She loved planting flowers and working in her yard. Her talents included painting, crocheting, sewing, cooking and baking, especially pies and bread. She loved all animals, especially dachshunds.

Surviving are her two daughters, Janice (Mike) Arnold of Pawleys Island, S.C., and Paula (Darrel) Kearns of Butler; two grandchildren, Erin (Brian) Blackmore and Laura (Sid) Plattenburg, both of Charlotte, N.C.; and two great-grandchildren, Bradley and Adam Blackmore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lester Repine, who died Feb. 11, 1977, and her second husband, Clarence “Ed” Davis, who passed away Oct. 13, 2011; and five sisters and six brothers.

REPINE-DAVIS — Friends of Virginia L. Repine-Davis, who died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev.
