Jean L. Palmer

Jean L. Palmer, 95, of Brookfield, Conn., and Bradys Bend died Thursday in Danbury, Conn.

Born June 29, 1922, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of John and Jean (Lowrie) Coutts.

On June 21, 1941, she marred Davis A. Palmer, who preceded her in death on April 13, 2010.

Jean was a member of the Queenstown United Methodist Church.

She was a homemaker and cherished the company of her pets, enjoyed the Allegheny River and was proud of her Scottish heritage.

Jean always looked forward to shopping trips with her daughter and especially enjoyed the company of her friends at the Bradys Bend Senior Center. She valued the friendships and neighbors she had in the East Brady area and looked forward to many telephone calls from them. She will be remembered as being devoted to her family and as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

Jean is survived by one daughter, Jean L. Bergman and her husband, Robert Jr. of Brookfield, Conn.; two grandsons, Joseph Slick of Pittsburgh, and John Slick and his wife, Michele, of Sewickley.

She is also survived by a son-in-law, Joseph Slick of Pittsburgh; three step- grandchildren, Robin Bergman, Robert (June) Bergman III, and Allison (Robert) Gianazza all of Connecticut; four step-great-grandchildren, Robert (Tonya) Bergman IV, Rebecca (Jim Callahan) Bergman, Michael (Alexandra Cambra) Gianazza and Jonathan Gianazza; one step great-grandson, Declan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Douglas and William Coutts.

PALMER — Friends of Jean L. Palmer, who died Thursday, April 19, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028.Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Queenstown United Methodist Church.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Ed Clark officiating.Entombment will follow at Mount Royal Memorial Park, Glenshaw.The Palmer family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Jean's name to Queenstown United Methodist Church c/o Eleanor Delaney, P.O.
