Butler graduate Nathan Bilski gained medalist honors with a 72 Wednesday as the Butler County Community College golf team finished an undefeated regular season at Lake Arthur Country Club.

The Pioneers improved to 19-0 as CCAC-Boyce and CCAC-South could not field a full team.

BCCC's team score was 300. Justin Maskal carded a 75, Justin Kerr a 76, Richie Schultz a 77, Scott Mulhollen an 83 and Travis Shingleton an 85.

The Pioneers will compete in the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference meet Tuesday at the Madison Golf Club in New Stanton.

Katie Jewart had 15 kills, Autumn Burke 12 kills and Katherine Smith eight kills to lead the BC3 team to a 30-15, 30-22, 30-17 victory over Potomac (Md.) State Wednesday.Sarah Morley added 31 assists and Shandy Gonzalez 26 digs for the pioneers (16-3, 12-0 in the WPCC) which will host Pitt-Titusville Friday.In national statistics for Division III, Burke is fourth in aces (1.5 per game), 18th in hitting percentage (29.0) and 22nd in kills (2.6). Jewart is 10th in kills (3.3), Morley seventh in assists (8.8) and Gonzalez is ninth in digs (5.2) and 13th in aces (0.96).

Bob McNees scored two goals to help erase a second-half deficit to lead the Grove City College men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Thiel in PAC action Wednesday.Ben Hoffman and Peter Williams had assists for the Wolverines (5-5, 2-2).Joel Gladfelter made seven saves for Grove City.

Seneca Valley graduate Greg Slack struck out eight in eight innings and tossed a four-hitter as Butler County Community College defeated Penn State-Fayette, 6-2.Slack had a double, two singles and a RBI for the Pioneers (12-7) while fellow Seneca Valley graduate Glenn Sharrar had three hits. Karns City graduate Nate McCollough had a double and two RBI,BCCC has won six in a row and plays at Penn State-McKeesport at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
