Lobaugh nets 1,000th career point in BC3 win
Matt Lobaugh scored 35 points and became only the second player to score 1,000 points in a career at Butler County Community College as the Pioneers men's basketball team scored a 98-81 victory Friday night at Kent State-Tuscarawas in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
Bryant Lewandowski is BC3's all-time leading scorer with nearly 1,400 points.
Lobaugh added 11 rebounds and six blocked shots to BC3's cause Friday. The Pioneers (14-12) trailed at halftime, 48-39.
Will Miller scored 14 points for BC3 while Ed Beasley had 10 points and Butler graduate Joel Rehm 13 assists and six rebounds.
Adam Bott paced KSU-Tuscarawas (8-12) with 20 points.
The Pioneers play two games Saturday, taking on Franciscan University at 1 p.m. Saturday in Steubenville, Ohio, before facing West Virginia Northern at 7:30 p.m. in Wheeling.
BC3 will compete in the Region XX Tournament Thursday.
