The Knights of Columbus of St. Peter Parish, Slippery Rock, presented a check in the amount of $14,000 from their fifth annual golf tournament to Brittany Lambert on Sept. 11.
The annual golf tournament benefits a group or individual in the northern Butler area in need.
This year's tournament was to help with the medical costs for Nathan Lambert in his battle against cancer. Lambert lost the battle on June 14.
GFWC names new board members
Judy Neigh was installed as the 2012-2014 President of the GFWC Intermediate League of Butler. Neigh's theme is “Take Time to Care.”
Neigh has been married for 50 years to Joseph Neigh. They have three children and seven grandchildren
She's been a member of the Intermediate League for 28 years. She has served in the past as president, treasurer, chairman of the annual antiques show and sale and is a past president of the Junior Women's Club of Butler.
She is an eucharist minister of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church and lector volunteer at Sunnyview Home for Wednesday Mass.
Neigh is also a member and former president of St. Peter's Women's Council
She was Junior Woman of the Year in 1981, Young Mother of Merit of Pennsylvania in 1981 and YWCA Woman of the Year in 1992.
Neigh is president of the NonProfit Corporation for the Center for Community Resources and second vice president of the Area Agency on Aging.
Other officers include Bonnie Bachman, first vice president; Lu Gold, second vice president; Elaine Linamen, recording secretary; Mary Jane Weisenstein, corresponding secretary; Bev Scott, treasurer; and Patti Donaldson, assistant treasurer.
