McConnells Mill State Park in Slippery Rock Township, just over the county line into Lawrence County off Route 422, has the gristmill open from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays until Labor Day. Interpretive Tours are offered at 1 and 2 p.m. and by appointment. Admission, parking and tours are free. A Geology Day Camp for Adults is planned for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Make a reservation at 724-368-8811. An Industrial History Twilight Hike in Hell’s Hollow will be at 6:30 p.m. July 5 from the Hell’s Hollow parking lot.
