Jeanne Marie Kerr

Jeanne Marie Kerr, 67, of New Cumberland, Pa., passed away Saturday in Holy Spirit Hospital in East Pennsboro Township.

She was a retired systems engineer and Blue Cross California account manager with Electronic Data Systems, later Hewlett Packard in Camp Hill. She also was previously resource manager for health care claims for the eastern United States at EDS.

Jeanne was a graduate of Butler Senior High School and attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, where she majored in biology and where she was a phlebotomist for three of those years with Mercy Hospital.

She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in New Cumberland since 1983.

She was a dignified and classy woman whose greatest joy in life was caring for and loving her grandchildren.

Jeanne was born in Butler and was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Louise (Dell'Otto) Spagnola.

She is survived by her husband of more than 45 years, John M. Kerr; her children, Samuel James Kerr, MD, and his wife, Kimberly, of Lancaster, Louisa Jean Clinkscale and her husband, Adam A. Sr., of New Cumberland and John Michael Kerr II of New Cumberland; her sister, Mary Louise Spagnola of Kittanning; and six grandchildren, Jeanne Marie Clinkscale, Adam Alvester Clinkscale Jr., Jonah Samuel Kerr, Isaac Julian Kerr, Oscar John Kerr and Jude Richard Kerr.

KERR — Viewing for Jeanne Marie Kerr, who died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1303 Bridge St., New Cumberland, with a scripture service at 7:30 p.m.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St., New Cumberland, with the Rev. Samuel Dubois as celebrant. Please meet at church for Mass.
