Ethel Mae “Buckwheat” Wild Ziegler

Ethel Mae “Buckwheat” Wild Ziegler, 91, of Zelienople passed away Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born April 26, 1926, in Zelienople, she was the daughter of the late George and Alice Miesel Wild.

Ethel enjoyed reading, crocheting and was a fantastic cook and pie maker.

Surviving are her daughter Cynthia J. Ziegler of Zelienople; her son James L. (Nancy) Ziegler of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; her granddaughter Melissa R. Ziegler of Zelienople; her sister-in-law Mary Ann Wild Wallace; her niece Lisa Wild; her nephew Raymond (Pamela) Wild; a great-nephew Bradon Wild; many other relatives; and her beloved dogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Ziegler; her brother Raymond Wild; and her sister Georgeanna Wild McCurdy.

ZIEGLER — The family of Ethel Mae “Buckwheat” Wild Ziegler, who died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A private interment will be at the English Lutheran Church Cemetery in Zelienople.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made in Ethel's honor to the VNA of Western Pennsylvania, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001, www.vna.com.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Ethel's family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
