Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village, Avella, Washington County, is open for the season. PITTSBURGH
Carnegie Science Center, North Side, hosts Snowball Day on June 21, the summer solstice. Visitors who bring in saved, still-frozen snowballs can name their own price for general admission. Activities and demonstrations are planned. A 31-hour Omnimax movie marathon is slated for July 8 and 9. Regular center admission is $18.95 for adults and $11.95 for children 3 to 12. National Aviary, 700 Arch St., presents Lanner falcons, hooded vultures, black kites and eagles in the free-flight, open air show “Soar!” on the Sky Deck.
