The National Weather Service has given Butler County and other Southwestern Pennsylvania counties a winter weather advisory that will remain in effect until 4 p.m.

The advisory warns of snow and sleet accumulations of upt to 1 inch with the highest chance of freezing in the morning and early afternoon.

The announcement states that the ice and snow accumulations may create slippery road conditions and produce scattered power outages.

Ice and snow accuumlations may be reported to the service by calling 412-262-1988 or by posting on the service’s facebook page or twitter.
