Mary Uniatowski

Mary Kathleen Uniatowski, 69, of Volant, Plain Grove Township, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

She was born Nov. 29, 1951, in Pittsburgh, to Robert P. Rochford, who immigrated from Great Britain/Ireland, and Kathleen Theresa Mulvaney Rochford.

She married Michael E. Uniatowski Dec. 5, 1970.

She retired having worked as a phlebotomist most of her career, at St. Francis Hospital in New Castle.

She was a member of Zion Baptist Church and faithfully attended the Women’s Retreat of the church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Stanley Snyder Post VFW.

She loved to quilt.

Survivors include her husband, Mike, at home; two sons, Michael Robert Uniatowski of Grove City, and Brian Patrick (Allison) Uniatowski of Virginia Beach, Va.; and a brother, Tim Rochford of Greenfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Derrick, who passed away Jan. 13, 2015; and two brothers, Robert and Michael.

UNIATOWSKI — The family of Mary Kathleen Uniatowski, who died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, will receive family and close friends for a private visitation Friday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

Funeral services will be held privately Saturday at Zion Baptist Church, with the Rev. Thomas Meling presiding.

Interment will be in Zion Baptist Cemetery.
