Food drive intended to help veterans eat better
CENTER TWP — Community members can help veterans eat healthier by participating in the VA Butler’s Healthy Living Food Drive.
Nonperishable food items will be accepted during January at the Abie Abraham Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Center, located at 353 North Duffy Road. Food can be dropped off at the main entrance of the wellness center.
All food collected will be distributed in February to local veterans in need.
The program is meant to help veterans start the new year off by adopting healthier eating habits. The program is being organized by the VA Butler’s Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Program.
