6 area players join All-Star GameWASHINGTON, Pa. — Six Butler County baseball players will participate in the 12th annual WPIAL Class AAAA-AAA All-Star Game at 1 p.m. June 7 at Ross Memorial Park in Washington.Vince Augustine and Troy Martin of Seneca Valley will play for the Class AAAA team. Knoch’s Asa Adams and Chris Law, Mars’ Ryan Leshinsky and Tye Reginelli for the Class AAA team.The Class AA-A game will follow the big-school game. Overall, 84 players representing 62 schoolswill be involved in the all-star twinbill.
Steelers, Golson agree on contractPITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers and second-round pick Senquez Golson have agreed to terms on a four-year contract.Financial details of the agreement announced on Tuesday were not disclosed.The Steelers took the 5-foot-9, 176-pound cornerback with the 56th overall pick in the draft. Golson was a first-team All-American last fall for Mississippi. His 10 interceptions in 2014 tied a school record.Golson is the fourth of Pittsburgh’s eight draft picks to sign. The Steelers begin organized team activities on May 26.
