Elanora Marburger

Elanora G. Marburger, 92, of Evans City passed away peacefully Tuesday in the comfort of her home after a short-term illness.

Born on April 15, 1922, in Jackson Township, she was the daughter of the late George and Sophia Spithaler Measel.

Elanora was a longtime member of the St. John's Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing and a former member of the Ladies Auxilary of Evans City.

She was a homemaker, and she had worked for the Evans City Elementary School as a custodian. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

She leaves behind her five loving children, Donald E. Marburger Jr. of Evans City, Shirley Kretzler of Evans City, Larry (Sandy) Marburger of Fort Pierce, Fla., Colleen (Jerry) Wiemann of Sewickley and Sandy Covert and her fiance, Rob Morrill, of Evans City; her sister, Mary (William) Kirchner of Pittsburgh; her 14 grandchildren; her 17 great-grandchildren; and her three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Elanora was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald E. Marburger Sr., on May 28, 1985; her companion, Roy

Victor Nicklas, on Jan. 3, 1997; her six brothers; and two sisters.Marburger— The Marburger family will welcome family and friends of Elanora G. Marburger, who passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Friday at the Boylan Funeral Home of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
