Andrew Skaggs graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, where he earned distinction as an honor graduate.Skaggs is the son of Theresa Baker of Sarver and the brother of Annette Skaggs of Bradford.The airman is a 2009 graduate of Seneca Valley High School.Butler native

Bill Eberle was named president of the 82nd Airborne Division Association based in Fayetteville, N.C.Eberle joined the military after graduating from Butler High School and served with the 504 Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division in the Vietnam War. While in Vietnam, he was lead on long-range reconnaissance patrols and earned the Combat Infantryman's Badge.After leaving the military and moving to Tucson, Ariz., in 1970, Eberle joined the nonprofit 82nd Airborne Division Association, which has 103 chapters and more than 34,000 members. The group also maintains the history of Airborne forces in the U.S. military.
