SR residents shine in harness racing

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Slippery Rock residents Renee and Bill Bercury swept the featured race exacta and Brady Brown drove two horses to victory during harness racing action Wednesday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Bercury trains Blue Ivy and Lady Newton, which finished 1-2 in the $16,000 Filly & Mare Open Handicap Pace. Brown drove The Funk to victory in an $8,000 Conditioned Trot and Romanee Blue Chip to a win in a $5,500 Conditioned Trot.
