CRANBERRY TWP — Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School’s FIRST Robotics Competition team recently thanked its sponsors with a picnic and a day with the robot.

On June 25, Team 5740, the Trojanators, celebrated a successful year, showing sponsors and supporters around the workplace and introducing them to the robot.

“As recipients of the Engineering Inspiration award, an honor that celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school and community, the team qualified for the FIRST Robotics, world championship in Detroit, Mich.,” said David Yackuboskey, physics and robotics teacher at CWNC. “Students, faculty, family members, and industry professionals were all in attendance to galvanize their support for the team. Industry professionals included representatives from Omnicell and Berner International.”
