The Butler BlueSox have announced season tickets are available for the 2013 Prospect League season.

Individual game tickets ranging from $6 to $8 will go on sale soon. The season opener is May 28 at Pullman Park.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University baseball team, 7-0 and off to its best start since 2005, is ranked 18th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.The Rock is also ranked No. 25 in the d2baseballnews.com poll and 26th in the American Baseball Coaches Association poll.SRU is ranked No. 2 in the Atlantic Region on the NCBWA and d2baseballnews.com polls.

A-C Valley senior forward Ryan Bartley, who led the Butler County area at 20.7 points per game, was named to the first team on the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Boys Basketball All-Conference squad Wednesday.Karns City junior Tyler Kepple was named to the second team. Kepple led Butler County in 3-pointers made with 70 and averaged 15.8 points per game.A-C Valley junior Jeff Eaton and Union senior Aaron Graham were named to the third team.Kelsey Boocks, who scored 12.8 points to go with more than 10 rebounds per game during her senior year for A-C Valley, was named to the second team on the KSAC Girls All-Conference team.Karns City sophomore Emily LoPresti and Moniteau junior Fontaine Glenn were named to the third team.
