Thomas Sivak Jr., a Butler native, took responsibility of the 8th Military Police “Watchdog” Brigade, 8th Theater Sustainment Command during a March 1 change of responsibility ceremony at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.Sivak brings more than 26 years military police experience, including deployments to Panama, Haiti, Croatia, Iraq and Afghanistan.The 8th Military Police Brigade provides military police support within the Pacific region and has units in support of Ongoing Contingencies Operations worldwide and humanitarian support in Japan.———

Air National Guard Airman <B>Mark Lacava </B>graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.He is the son of Mark and Kathy Lacava of Valencia and is a 2004 graduate of Mars High School.
