The Kittanning Firemen’s Band will honor World War II veterans by performing a special concert July 9 at the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Any area World War II veterans who have not seen or experienced the monument are invited.

While the trip is free for WWII veterans, a coach bus will be available for members of the public who would like to make the day trip to see the concert. Tickets for the Patriot Bus will be $65.

Those interested in making a donation to help fund the trip should make checks payable to KF Band Memorial Trip Fund and send them to F&M Bank, 222 Market St., Kittanning, PA 16201.
