Melissa Brown, a 2005 Butler County Junior Miss and a Knoch graduate, is a freshman majorette at Penn State University and will be performing at tonight's Orange Bowl game in Miami, Fla.

Brown, a Knoch graduate, is yet another Butler County connection to the game that already includes Penn State majorette Kelli Weleski (Knoch), Penn State linebacker Tyrell Sales, Penn State cheerleader Missy Fogel and Florida State cheerleader KayLeigh Vodenichar, all from Butler.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett turned himself in Monday on charges of robbing two people with a gun in an alley behind a bar.His lawyer, Percy Squire, said Clarett would be jailed overnight and planned to plead not guilty at a court appearance today.Clarett was wanted on two counts of aggravated robbery since early Sunday, when police said he flashed a gun and demanded property from a man and a woman behind the Opium Lounge in downtown Columbus.
