Catherine S. “Kitty” Feder

Catherine S. “Kitty” Feder, 94, of Butler passed away Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born June 4, 1924, in Butler to the late Harold F. Sandbach and the late Elenor Perrin Sandbach.

Kitty was a member of Women's Club, local Bridge clubs, Meals on Wheels and the Square Dance Club Keystone Squares.

She enjoyed reading and crocheting. Kitty was a member of The Intersection Community Church. She sang in her church choir and also played the organ and the piano for various churches in the area.

Kitty is survived by one son, Harold W. (June) Feder of Butler; three daughters, Cathleen Feder Perr of California, Ellen Kime of Alabama and Lisabeth (Martin) Gerdom of California; 11 grandchildren, Jonathan (Michelle) Perr, Jason (Anne) Perr, Lindsay Kusmierek, Jenna (Ian) Westbrook, Megan (Tom) McCarthy, Rhys Kime, Jennifer (Douglas) Schamber, Stephen Feder, Matthew (Elizabeth) Feder, Christopher Gerdom and Sara Gerdom; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Goldsmith of Milwaukee, Wis.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Feder, who she married on July 10, 1946, and who passed away on Aug. 1, 1988; one daughter, Alice Kusmierek; and one brother, Edward Sandbach.

FEDER — Friends of Catherine S. “Kitty” Feder, who died on Saturday, July 14, 2018, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, with the Rev. Fred Kison of the Intersection Community Church officiating.Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
