Beverly Ann Wiles

Beverly Ann Wiles, 85, of Butler passed away Friday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Sept. 20, 1930, in Hilliards to the late James Gillen and Grace (Gladd) Gillen.

Beverly was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, bingo, and especially playing with her grandchildren. She was a past member of the Highfield Community Hall, where she catered for many years. Beverly will be remembered mostly for her generous spirit, and her great cooking and baking. She was “Mom” to many and “Nanny” to all.

She is survived by one daughter, Connie Wetzel and her husband, Doug, of Butler; one son, William G. Wiles and his wife, Denise, of Freehold, N.J.; five grandchildren, Megan Bartley and her husband, Michael, of Butler, Marc Bush and his wife, Jessica, of West Sunbury, Derek Bush of Butler, Samantha Wiles and Zachary Wiles; and one great-grandchild, Aiden Bartley; three step-grandchildren, Samantha Wetzel, Dillon Wetzel and Douglas Wetzel Jr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Audra E. Wiles, who she married Nov. 24, 1950, and who passed away July 23, 2012; one son, Ronald James Wiles; and one brother, Raymond Gillen.

WILES — Friends of Beverly Ann Wiles, who died Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Goodman of the First United Methodist Church officiating.Burial will take place at the Greenlawn Burial Estates.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
