Douglas “Doug” Alan Koehring
Douglas “Doug” Alan Koehring, 64, of Butler passed away on Wednesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Nov. 10, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wis., and was a son of the late Philip A. Koehring and Donna Herman Koehring.
Doug graduated from Point Park College with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science.
He was a senior data analyst for Penreco from 1972 until 2008, and was then employed by Monark Student Transportation from 2010 until 2015.
Doug's commitment to his family as a loving and devoted husband, father, Papa and brother is the role he treasured most in his life.
Doug enjoyed shooting sports, hiking, backpacking, camping, reading historical novels and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
He had several special pets that enriched his life with their constant companionship. They include Cockie, Freckles, Maggie and Ziva.
Doug is survived by his wife, Cynthia McBride Koehring, whom he married on May 1, 1982; one daughter, Danielle (Lewitt) Koehring Beyale of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons, Devin A. (Dana) Koehring of Murrysville, and Spencer A. Koehring of Washington, D.C.; one grandchild, Avanee Harper Beyale; and Baby Girl Beyale, who is expected in January of 2019; two brothers, Philip A. (Mary) Koehring of Boulder Creek, Calif., and John R. (Peggy) Koehring of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one niece, Sara A. Koehring of Boulder Creek, Calif., and his mother-in-law, Monica McBride.
