Glenn W. Leise
Glenn W. Leise, 87, of Volant passed away at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
He was born in Porters-ville on Sept. 12, 1924, to Howard “Pete” Leise and Mary “Tillie” Barkley.
On March 3, 1967, he married Dorothy Elizabeth Whiting, who preceded him in death on July 22, 2004.
In 1942, he graduated from Muddy Creek High School. He was a member of the Plain Grove Presbyterian Church.
He was a self-employed famer and also worked for Sankey Feed Mill, Stuart Saw Mill and Shaffer Tractor. He was a former Plain Grove Township supervisor. He enjoyed singing, hunting and woodworking.
Surviving are his son, Donald McKnight (Elaine) of Gettysburg; four daughters, Virginia Crocker of Slippery Rock, Mary Jane Dally (Bill) of Niles, Ohio, Rebecca Richards (Brad) of Ellwood City and Ruth E. Mayne of Hermitage; a sister, Joan Courtney (Jack) of Prospect; two brothers, James G. Leise (Barbara) of Slippery Rock and Leroy H. Leise (Margaret) of Portersville; and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters, Blanche Mae Durnell and Violet Cratty; two sons, George and Russell McKnight; one grandson, Robert A. Mayne; and one brother, Hope W. Leise.
<B>LEISE </B>— Friends of Glenn W. Leise, who passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at<B> Smith Funeral Home</B>, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington. A service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Stanley Keehlwetter, pastor of the Plain Grove Presbyterian Church, officiating.Interment will be in Portersville Bible Church Cemetery.Donations in memory of Glenn W.
