Eunice L. Ealy
Eunice L. Ealy, 89, a resident of Parker Personal Care, formerly of Hooker, passed away Friday evening at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler with her family by her side.
Eunice was born March 30, 1928, in Fairview Township. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Alice Morrow Bullman.
She was a 1946 graduate of Fairview Township Karns City High School and was a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church in Hooker. She enjoyed ceramics, thoroughly reading the Butler Eagle, word search puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, flower gardening, particularly her favorite flower, pansies.
Eunice had been employed at Kuhn's Country Store in Hooker, the cafeteria at the North Butler County School District, now Moniteau, and retired following 22 years of service in the laundry department at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was married June 9, 1950, in Fairview Township, to Paul E. Ealy. He preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1955.
Eunice is survived by two children Cheryl “Cherie” Sankey of Butler and Ronald P. Ealy and his wife, Kim, of Hilliards; two grandchildren Jennifer N. Geibel of West Sunbury and Jarrod P. Sankey and his wife, Tina, of Hilliards; one stepgranddaughter Erin Bowser and her husband, Ron, of Butler; four great-grandchildren Wyatt and Owen Geibel of West Sunbury and Kendall and Brendin Sankey of Hilliards; one stepgreat-granddaughter Emily Jensen of Butler; his niece Helen, who helped Eunice as a caregiver for her children; his brother-in-law and his wife Glenn “Cy” and Barb Ealy of Chicora; his sister-in-law and her husband Katie and Bob Scott of Grove City; and a number of other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law Larry Sankey; her stepgreat-grandson Ryan Burgoon; five brothers; and one sister.
EALY — Friends of Eunice L. Ealy, who died Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City.A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. from the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Pascoe, co-pastor of the First Church of Ford City and Amedysis Hospice Chaplain, officiating.
